Embodied Astrology

A One-Day Workshop with John Wadsworth & Emma Stow

Are You in Touch with the Lunar Side of Your Nature? Are You Honouring Your Own Unique Rhythms & Cycles? Are You Truly Connected to the Power of the Deep Feminine Within You? Spend a Day with Us and Experience the Power of the Moon in Your Own Birth Chart

This is the first of a series of twelve astrological workshops on the planets. In each workshop we will explore how the different planets operate in our lives. Using a range of embodied learning processes we will access the deeper meaning of each planet and explore how we can draw out its potential to enrich our experience.

The workshops are facilitated in a dynamic way and will furnish you with profound astrological insights. Through the journey that John will take you on, you will be able to experience healing and transformation in specific areas of your life, within a safe, supportive container. We are not just learning about astrology with our heads. This style of learning is a whole body experience, which draws out the already existing knowledge of the heavens and planetary movements that we all carry within us, whether we are aware of it or not. The workshops are suitable for people of all levels of astrological knowledge and experience, including complete beginners.

In this first workshop, we will explore the relationship we each have to the Moon, as we seek to penetrate her mystery and discover the ways in which she expresses herself in our lives through our astrological charts. The workshop will facilitate each participant to make a powerful connection with the lunar aspects of their character, through a range of embodied processes incorporating music, movement, guided journeying and astrodrama.

The Moon has always been a source of enchantment and wonder, and through the phases of its monthly cycle, it carries a profoundly feminine quality. In astrology, the moon represents our connection to the past, to the womb, the source of where we come from. It is associated with the element of water, emotion, memory. Its position in our birth chart tells us much about our deepest needs, how we seek nurture and nourishment, our relationship to our home, to our experience of mother, and mothering. Whereas the astrological sun tells us much about what we want and what we are striving for in life, our moon sign is much more indicative of our instincts and instinctive reactions to situations. It reveals our fundamental needs for safety and emotional security, our embedded childhood patterns. Our moon sign often tends to show itself more in our family relationships and in our intimate partnerships, or in stressful situations or situations that remind us of childhood.
