A New Year Message...2026...wow!
Dear Friends
As this extraordinary year of 2025 draws to a close, we can perhaps take a moment to reflect on the momentous changes that are occuring in our world and within ourselves. I feel that we are living in unprecendented times of accelerated change, where it feels that almost anything could happen! And 2026 looks set to be the most remarkable year yet.
The Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0˚ Aries is by far the stand-out astrological event of the year. There is much that can be said about this conjunction, but in essence we might expect to experience Neptune having a dissolving, disorienting, mystifying effect on Saturn’s established forms and material structures, constructs of thinking and notions of time. We might equally anticipate that Saturn will give more concrete expression to mystical, otherworldly Neptunian experiences, manifesting the spiritual world in a way that can be perceived more readily through the senses, or through some of enhancement of extra-sensory perception.
There may be times in the coming year where we don’t quite know what is up from down, are confused about what is happening around us or within us, or have a clear idea how to navigate through uncertain or uncharted waters. Yet this could equally be a year of unparelled revelation and wonder; especially if we can allow ourselves to go with what is happening, both within ourselves and in the world. Can we release control where we are grasping too tightly to an old paradigm, and offer up the appropriate rituals, and make the necessary offerings at the right times to bring through these profound spiritual energies that are ready to be activated?
The conjunction of these two planets only occurs every 36-37 years, and it is extremely rare for it to occur at the zero Aries point, which is the most potent degree of the zodiac, the birth degree. The Aries point represents a reset, a new beginning, a new dawn. I will be in Giza, in Egypt, on the day of the exact conjunction, 20th February 2026. To mark the occasion, myself and my dear friend Mags Mackean will be leading an intrepid group of adventurers into the Great Pyramid, enjoying two hours private access there. We will be toning in the King’s Chamber, and tuning into this powerful conjunction.
Egyptian cosmology centres around the restoration of the conditions of Zeptepi, the ‘first time’, or ‘eternal time’. This was the time of the gods, when a divine order of being pervaded all of creation, a golden age when harmony reigned, when Ma’at was properly honoured. There is a sense in which the Zero Aries point is directly attuned to this originating energy of Zeptepi, being that it is the creation degree. The Great Sphinx of Giza gazes directly east, aligning to the sunrise on the Spring Equinox at zero Aries. We were there in March with out group to witness this event at dawn from within the Sphinx enclosure. It feels significant that we will also be there again for dawn this year, between the Sphinx’s paws, at dawn, with Saturn and Neptune conjoined at that same zodiacal degree.
